• ​Where is the Sheriff’s Office located?

The Sheriff’s Office is located on the first floor of the Court House 3 Government Plaza, suite 110. The Sheriff also has an office located at the Jail. (2526 New Calhoun Hwy).

• What do I do if I have a yellow door hanger from the Sheriff’s Office on my door?

If you receive a yellow door hanger from the Sheriff’s Office you may have some civil papers. Give us a call at 706-314-0710 or the number on the door hanger, and we will make some arrangements to get you the papers.

• What is an inmate's bond?

Once an inmate has been processed and booked a bond may be given. You can check the bond amount by looking at our online inmate portal. ONLINE INMATE PORTAL

• Why was an inmate denied bond?

A magistrate judge may deny bond on several factors. If an inmate is denied bond their next step is to file for a bond hearing. The easiest way to set this up is to go through an attorney.

• What charges does an inmate have?

• ​How do I find out if a restraining order or a warrant has been served?

• What is the release date of an inmate?

Release dates vary depending on court orders, probation paperwork, good time, and various other factors. You can contact a supervisor in booking, we can give you more information on a certain inmate. 706-291-4111 ext 8834
